Beyond Ourselves, the Punta Gorda Isles Civic Association community service organization, sponsored the 2017 "Share the Love for the Kids Home Tour" on February 4, 2017. This was the group's 8th annual fundraiser to raise money to help the children of Charlotte County.

New Operation Cooper Street is an after-school facility that provides children with a safe, nurturing place to go. The children are provided snacks and dinners, given remedial help with their schoolwork, and stimulated with various cultural and enriching activities. Beyond Ourselves has given over $149,000 to this organization in the last eight years.

The Back Pack Kidz Program, sponsored by the YaYa Girls, serves the weekend food needs of over 1,500 children in Charlotte County. Students, identified by school administrators, are given backpacks filled with non-perishable food every Friday. Beyond Ourselves is proud to be able to help support this effort to feed the children of our county and has given $57,000.00 to this program.

AMIKIDS Crossroads is an environmentally based program in Charlotte County serving youth in a residential therapeutic environment. The therapeutic group home allows for enhanced developmental experiences for at risk boys between 12 and 17 years of age. Optimal length of stay is until they are out of foster care. The program incorporates Behavorial Health Overlay Services, behavior modification, vocational training, academic support, and education on site that allow for remediation upport and credit enhancement. Beyond Ourselves is proud to be able to help support this unique effort in our county and has given $19,000.00 to this program.
